The thermal insulation will be realised by a board of rigid Polyisocyanuratefoam (TAUFOAM by Recticel / POWERDECK F) with a core volume weight of ± 30 kg/m³ and an Euroclass E according to EN 13501-1 and Euroclass B s2 d0 (end use steeldeck).
The boards will be faced on both sides with a mineral coated and perforated glass fleece.
The boards will have been subjected to a permanent quality control conducted by an acknowledged institute.
The production of the insulation boards is certified according to the ISO 9001 : 2000 standards.
The declared thermal conductivity coefficient
D = 0,026 W/mK.
Pressure resistance with 10 % deformation: > 120 kPa (1,2 kg/ cm²).
The dimensions of the boards are 600 mm x 1200 mm.
The insulation boards are mechanically fixed with at least 4 screws per board. The correct amount will be defined by the quality of the screws and the supporting structure and by the wind load.
Previously, we place on the wooden underground:
- a partition layer consisting of rough glass fleece or polyestermat.
- An underlayer P150/16, reinforced bitumen wqith polyestermat, nailed on the underground.
- A vapour control barrier bonded with hot bitumen or with torch-on method. A vapour control barrier on synthetic base is possible when mechanically fixed together with insulation boards. The upper underlayer can then also be removed.
The boards are installed staggered and with closed joints. The single ply waterproofing is applied immediately after the installation of the insulation with a matching cold glue in compliance with the given instructions of the waterproofing manufacturer.
The necessity of a vapour control layer will be determined by a calculation or by the Technical Information 215 "HET PLATTE DAK" (the flat roof) of the WTCB. The specific guidelines incorporated in the Technical Approval are applicable, if not available use guidelines of note 215.
