The thermal insulation will be realised by a board of rigid polyisocyanurate foam (Taufoam by Recticel / Powerdeck ) with a core volume weight of ± 30 kg/m³ and an A1 reaction to fire according to RD 19/12/1997 or Euroclass D s2 d0 according to EN 13501-1 and Euroclass B s2 d0 (end use steeldeck).
The boards will be faced on both sides with aluminium foil of approx. 50µ.
The boards will have been subjected to a permanent quality control conducted by an acknowledged institute and will have a technical approval. The production of the insulation boards is certified according to the ISO 9001 : 2000 standards.
The declared thermal conductivity coefficient λD = 0,024 W/mK.
Pressure resistance with 10 % deformation: > 150 kPa (1,5 kg/ cm²).
The dimensions of the boards are 1200 mm x 2500 mm.
Previously, we place on the underground:
- a partition layer consistent of rough glass fleece or polyestermat
- an underlayer P150/16, reinforced bitumen with polyestermat, nailed on the underground
- a vapour control barrier bonded with hot bitumen or with torch-on method
The boards are mechanically fixed to the steeldeck. The amount of fastenings is minimally 4 per board. The mechanical fixations to be used will meet the demands in compliance with the UEAtc-class II and will have a minimum diameter of 4,8 mm.
The waterproofing has to be applied immediately after the installation of the insulation. The metal waterproofing will be mechanically fixed through the insulation boards into the steeldeck. The instructions of the manufacturer of the waterproofing should be followed.
