The thermal insulation will be realised by a board of rigid polyurethane foam (EUROTHANE Silver) with a core volume weight of ± 30 kg/m³ and with a fire reaction Euroclass B s2 d0 (end use steeldeck).
The declared thermal conductivity coefficient λD = 0,023 W/mK.
The boards will have been subjected to a permanent quality control conducted by an acknowledged institute. The production of the insulation boards is certified according to the ISO 9001:2000 standards.
Pressure resistance with 10 % deformation: > 120 kPa (1,2 kg/ cm²).
The dimensions of the boards are 1200 mm x 1000 mm. The minimum insulation thickness depends on the corrugation opening. When the boards are moved in a supported way, this will be 1/3 of the corrugation width of the steel plate. The boards are installed staggered and with closed joints. The boards are mechanically fixed to the steel deck with a minimum of 6 fixations per board. The correct amount will be defined by their quality, the wind load and the thickness of the steel board. The mechanical fixations to be used will meet the demands in compliance with the UEAtc-class II and will have a minimum diameter of 4,8 mm. The single ply waterproofing is applied immediately after the installation of the insulation with a matching cold glue in compliance with the given instructions of the waterproofing manufacturer.
The necessity of a vapour control layer will be determined by a calculation or by the Technical Information 215 "HET PLATTE DAK" (the flat roof) of the WTCB. The specific guidelines of the note 215 are applicable.
